Treasury Brisbane
Treasury Brisbane isn't a purpose-built tower at all — it's a working casino inside one of Brisbane's grandest 19th-century sandstone buildings.

A genuinely unusual building
Rather than a purpose-built resort tower, Treasury Brisbane opened in 1995 inside the heritage-listed former Queensland Treasury Building, a sandstone government building dating to the 1880s–90s. It's one of a small number of casinos anywhere in the world housed in a heritage government building rather than a structure built for the purpose.
A CBD stop, not a resort stay
Treasury sits right in the Brisbane CBD rather than a resort precinct, which makes it a natural fit for a city-day stop rather than a multi-night resort stay — pair it with a walk along the South Bank riverfront on the same visit.
Brisbane's casino scene is changing
Brisbane's casino landscape is due for a shake-up as the newer Queen's Wharf precinct (Star Brisbane) opens nearby — worth a quick check of what's current if you're planning a Brisbane stop specifically around this.
